TAKE STOCK Opening night

Posted in events by Alicia on June 16, 2008

Thanks to everyone who came down to check out the show. We enjoyed coffee and cake courtesy of Opposite Cafe, thank ye muchly.

We got to meet George Booth and David Cotton who set up the Something Visual website, a new arts magazine, with Lucy Dunn. They have a great listings for all the galleries and art spaces in Leeds and a regularly updated calender of events. Our Sarah was interviewed for the show, go check their website.

There are thousands of postcards (far to many to count) to root through and the categories range from foreign language to fine art, children’s to humorous. Some of our postcards date back to the 1930’s, so rather vintage!

We have a hammock full of ‘Free Pile’ goods, you need to buy one of our hand hand-printed bags or a paper bag and fill it with whatever you fancy from our hammock.

Illustration work by Jay Cover.

Place your bids!
Here’s a sneak peak of some of our exciting treasures: a vintage Beatles poster and baseball bat. We are taking silent bids throughout the two weeks of the show and then are having a live auction during our closing event on 27th June. Come down and place a bid.
